Scientists Digitally Preserve Rare Vaquita Skeleton
Scientists have created a digital reconstruction of the vaquita, the world's most endangered marine mammal. This project aims to help with research and conservation efforts for the species, which is critically endangered with very few individuals left in the wild. The digital model preserves the anatomy of the vaquita, a small porpoise found only in Mexico, to aid in understanding and protecting this rare animal.
